Patriarch Ilia II Angel's Commemoration Day
PhD student, lecturer at Georgian University Valeri Kekenadze congratulates his holiness on Angel's Commemoration Day.
Georgian Orthodox Church has always occupied a leading place in the spiritual or moral life of the nation. Historically it has been the main hub of education and cultural development.
In 1977, Ilia II became the head of the Georgian Church, during his activities he played a great role in strengthening the Georgian Church, thanks to him the status of the church in Georgia was determined and the international recognition of the Georgian Orthodox Church took place.
I am happy to have connected my life with the university founded by the Patriarch. I remember during his visit to the university he suggested to write “NOSCE TE IPSUM” on the main gate of the university. It is the wisdom that a person should feel his own weaknesses define his own personality and set a corresponding goal.
August 2 is Patriarch Ilia II Angel's Commemoration Day. His holiness once said that the period of his activity is "Sunny Night", I want to cordially congratulate his holiness on Angel's Commemoration Day.
