On June 11, SANGU held a workshop on “The Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)” for undergraduate and graduate students.
The workshop aimed to raise students’ awareness of the principles of academic integrity, plagiarism prevention, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Participants received information on ethical standards in academic work, proper citation and referencing practices, and the importance of transparency in the preparation of academic assignments.
During the workshop, the university’s AI Citation and Disclosure Guide was introduced. The guide provides practical recommendations and step-by-step instructions on how to appropriately acknowledge and document the use of artificial intelligence in academic texts.
In addition to the theoretical component, the workshop included practical exercises. Participants worked on the proper documentation and disclosure of AI-assisted work and explored how the use of artificial intelligence should be reflected in academic assignments in accordance with the university’s regulations and international standards of academic integrity.
