St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU) invites 11th–12th grade students interested in the field of law to participate in the educational project “Mock Trial.”
The project aims to help participants better understand the essence of the legal profession, become familiar with the civil law system, explore the structure and principles of court proceedings, and experience the lawyer’s role in a realistic, practice-based environment.
Topics of the Sessions
- The nature and purpose of civil disputes;
- Basic principles of civil procedural law;
- Lawsuits, responses, burden of proof, and evidence;
- The role of judges and parties in the process.
Event Format and Dates
- 20 and 24 November, 16:00 – preparatory training sessions;
- 27 November, 16:00 – case introduction and study of materials;
- 4 December, 16:00 – mock trial at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU).
The duration of each training session is approximately 1–1.5 hours. Upon completion of the project, all participants will receive certificates.
